Uplands House is set well back from the A422 up a long avenue of ancient lime trees, situated between Banbury and Stratford on Avon. It is a luxury five star bed and breakfast, with Gold Awards and Breakfast Awards for many years, and overlooking a Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of England. Standing in a beautiful one acre garden, we are within short drives of Blenheim Palace, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the Wold, The Swells, the Slaughters, Stratford-on-Avon, Chipping Campden, Warwick Castle, the magnificent gardens at Stowe, arguably the finest landscape garden in Europe with its temples, bridges and other monuments, and so much more. Uplands House provides a wonderful base for visiting many of the attractions and events in the local area. Your hosts, Poppy and Graham provide the very best in English country house hospitality. We offer our visitors an enthusiastic and friendly welcome, much kindness, comfort, and good food. We will even do the occasional load of washing for you! Our guests frequently arrive in time for tea, served around 5.00pm, with delicious home made cake, either by the fire in the Winter, or on the terrace in Summer. This is when we plan the evening meal, or help the guests find somewhere to eat out and we book it for them.
Don’t worry if stairs are a problem, we have recently installed a stair lift for you and your luggage.
The en-suite bedrooms at Uplands House are luxuriously furnished, with beautiful linen, and are very comfortable, guaranteeing a thoroughly restful night’s sleep. Guests are also invited to use the tranquil garden, and the drawing room; both are ideal places for relaxing.
Most of our visitors eat with us on their night of arrival and you may wish to really treat yourselves to the fine dining experience that awaits you at Uplands House. Please see Dining for further information. A nourishing and healthy breakfast is served in the mornings from 7.30 – 9.00am, using our own and locally sourced organic produce.
